Ukraine’s scrap exports rise by 40.6 percent in Jan-May

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the first five months of the current year Ukraine's scrap exports increased by 40.6 percent year on year to 256,400 mt. In May alone, Ukraine's scrap exports rose by 20.5 percent compared to April, increasing to 72,400 mt.

In the first five months of the current year, Ukraine's scrap imports decreased by 54.5 percent year on year to 29,600 mt.
