Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Group foresees that its steel product sales to the Russian Federation will increase to 600,000 mt for 2010, Metinvest Eurasia CEO Roman Rybalov said at the 13th International Conference ‘Russian Metal and Steel Market 2010', adding that the anticipated sales growth in 2010 is 72 percent year on year, and 29 percent compared to 2008.

In particular, Metinvest's anticipated steel product sales to Russia for 2010 will be up 253,000 mt compared to 2009, mainly due to the doubling of sales of rebar and wire rod (up 98,000 mt), to the increase in structural shape sales by 81,000 mt or by 1.5 times, and to the doubling of flat rolled product sales (up 75,000 mt).

Metinvest's wholesale and retail sales channel in the Russian Federation is Metinvest-Eurasia, whose share in the total amount of warehouse trade in Russia is estimated at three percent.
