Ukraine to increase rolled steel output in 2011

According to Ukrainian state-run company Derzhzovnishinform, in 2011 Ukrainian metallurgical companies will increase production of flat steel by 5-8 percent compared to 2010 to 9.6-9.8 million mt, while output of long products may go up by 5-7 percent compared to 2010 to 8.5-8.7 million mt.


In 2011 Ukraine will import around 0.75-0.8 million mt of flat steel, worth $910-940 million, compared to 0.834 million mt of flat material imported in 2010.
