Ukraine scrap collection falls in 2006

According to operation data, in 2006 Ukraine saw a decrease in its scrap collection volume to 7.7 million metric tons, down from 9.2 million metric tons collected in 2005.

In addition, the country's Ministry of Industrial Policy predicted that by 2010, with domestic consumption at a level of three million metric tons, Ukraine will suffer a scarcity of scrap to the amount of 1.5 million metric tons.
