Ukraine has released its steel export data for the first half of 2008.
During the period in question, Ukraine exported 756,000 mt of pig iron - down 29.1 percent, 4.57 million mt of billets - up 23.4 percent, 2.48 million mt of slabs - up 28.2 percent, 4.02 million mt of HR steel - up seven percent, 530,700 mt of CR steel - down 5.3 percent, 2.77 million mt of rebar - down 1.8 percent, 713,300 mt of profiles - down 1.8 percent, and 960,300 mt of steel pipes - down 13.3 percent, all compared to the January-June 2007 period.
