Ukraine issues export data for Jan-Oct
According to the data released by Ukraine's State Committee of Statistics, during the January-October 2006 period, the county saw a 31.9 percent increase in exports of pig iron, a seven percent increase in exports of iron ore, a 5.7 percent rise in exports of ferroalloys, a 64.4 percent decrease in exports of coke, a 27.1 percent increase in exports of semi-finished products, a 19.1 percent rise in exports of long products and a 0.8 percent drop in exports of flat rolled year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 959,950, 16.8 million, 978,980, 364,280, 2.2 million, 5.9 million and 7.5 million. In October alone, Ukraine exported 121,680 metric tons of pig iron - up 41.3 percent, 1.8 million metric tons of iron ore - up 13.7 percent, 108,930 metric tons of ferroalloys - down 0.03 percent, 19,710 metric tons of coke - down 66.1 percent, 1.05 million metric tons of semi-finished products - down 2.3 percent, 636,950 metric tons of long products - up 6.4 percent and 682,800 metric tons of flat rolled - down 9.5 percent compared to September 2006.
