Ukraine imports $571.02 million worth of coal in January-May

In the January-May period this year, Ukraine imported $571.02 million worth of coal and anthracite, while in May alone the import value totaled $102.86 million, according to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
 
The total volume of coal and anthracite import shipments to Ukraine in the January-May period amounted to 6.58 million mt.
 
In the first five months of this year, Ukraine's coal imports from Russia totaled $363.8 million in value, while its coal imports from the US amounted to $83.83 million, coal imports from Australia totaled $38.08 million, and coal imports from other countries came to $85.3 million.
 
Exports of Ukrainian coal totaled 229,310 mt in the January-May period this year, worth $18.67 million.
