The Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) has announced that it has canceled the five percent import duty on scrap to eliminate scrap shortage in the domestic market.

Meanwhile, the bill to increase export duties on scrap from €10/mt to €30/mt for one year was published in Ukraine’s official gazette on October 5.
