The UK government has approved the UK Trade Remedies Authority’s (TRA) proposal to maintain the existing antidumping and countervailing measures on imports of hot rolled flat steel from China until April 7, 2027, and the existing antidumping measures on imports of the given products from Brazil, Iran and Russia until October 7, 2027, to protect the UK’s steel industry from unfair competition.
The antidumping and countervailing duties are in ranges of 10.3-31.3 percent and 4.6-35.9 percent for China, respectively, while the antidumping duties are at £14.72- 80.75/mt for Russia, £44.68- 52.72/mt for Brazil and £48.12/mt for Iran.
