Two steelmakers and six steel processors in Tianjin halt production until end 2020

According to notices on the standardizing of pollutant discharge licenses in Tianjin city in China, for those pollutant discharging units who should apply for pollutant discharge permits but who have not applied for licenses and who have halted production, if they want to resume production before December 2020, the units in question should have completed their pollutant discharge license applications before August 15 of the current year.

Two steelmakers and six steel processing enterprises in Tianjin will not be able to resume production until December 2020. The two steelmakers are Tianjin Tiangang United Steel with an annual capacity of 1.2 million mt and Tianjin CISRI-HARDER Material and Technology. The six steel processing enterprises are Tianjin Tongxinhe Steel strip Iron and Steel, Tianjin Huace Steel Structure Color Coated Plate Iron and Steel, Tianjin Wenyunsheng Steel Plate, Tianjin Mingran Wire Drawing, Tianjin Zhongbei Iron and Steel and Tianjing Fulong Metal Manufacturing Works.
