As per the Orbis Steel Index data, the index movements in the week from April 2 to April 8 as per product are as follows:
Turkish Scrap Index continued its downward trend. The index value decreased by 0.48 percent week on week to 144.8.
US (East Coast) HMS I/II Scrap Export Index followed a stable trend, with the index value staying at 168.71 compared to the previous week.
Turkish Rebar Index went down by 1.53 percent to 135.65 compared to the previous week.
Turkish HRC Index started to decrease. The index value fell by 2.03 percent week on week to 105.17.
Black Sea HRC Export Index decreased by 2.41 percent week on week to 114.99.
Turkish HDG Index continued to move downwards, with the index value falling 3.53 percent week on week to 103.47.
Turkish CRC Index declined by 2.52 percent to 106.16 compared to the previous week.

Turkish Rebar Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality deformed steel reinforcing bars produced and sold by Turkish mills and subsequently merchants, both in the domestic market on ex-warehouse basis and for export on FOB Turkey basis.
Turkish HRC Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality HRC produced or imported, and then sold by Turkish mills on ex-warehouse basis.
