The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released the domestic construction sector indicators for the second quarter of this year.
The turnover index in the domestic construction sector in the second quarter of this year decreased by 5.9 percent from the previous quarter and increased by 0.7 percent compared to the same quarter of 2013.
Accordingly, in the second quarter of this year the production index in Turkey's domestic construction sector increased by 2.9 percent year on year, reaching 133.9 points, while the production index in building construction was up 3.5 percent year on year to 136.2 points. Meanwhile, in the given period, the production index in Turkey's civil engineering sector rose from 113.2 to 126.9 points, increasing by 0.9 percent year on year.
