In the January-November period of this year, motor vehicle sales in
Turkey totaled 653,490 units, decreasing by 14 percent year on year, according to the Turkish
Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD). Meanwhile, in November of the current year motor vehicle sales in the country saw an increase of one percent compared to the same month of 2013, totaling 83,875 units. In the first 11 months of this year, passenger car sales in
Turkey amounted to 477,277 units, decreasing by 15 percent year on year. In November, passenger car sales decreased by seven percent year on year to 59,695 units.
On the other hand, in the first 11 months of this year
Turkey's motor vehicle exports came to 802,872 units, up five percent, while its passenger car exports amounted to 529,663 units, up 20 percent, both year on year. The country exported 243,966 small trucks in the period in question, down 14 percent year on year. Revenues from total motor vehicle and component exports in the first 11 months of this year amounted to $20.94 billion, rising by six percent, while the revenue from passenger car exports totaled $6.7 billion, rising by six percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In the January-November period of the current year,
Turkey's total motor vehicle imports amounted to 428,768 units, while passenger car imports totaled 352,017 units, decreasing by 18 percent and 13 percent year on year, respectively.
