According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the first four months this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 36,088 mt, decreasing by 12.2 percent, while the revenue from these exports totaled $33.03 million, down 22.4 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In April this year, Turkey's PPGI exports increased by 14.33 percent month and month and were down 25.5 percent to 11,094 metric tons. The revenue from these exports amounted to $10.3 million, up 18.4 percent compared to March and down 30 percent year on year.
Azerbaijan was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-April period, with imports of 5,416 mt of PPGI from Turkey, down 2.87 percent year on year. In the given period, Azerbaijan was followed by Russia and Bulgaria, with Russia's PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 4,726 mt, while Bulgaria received 2,908 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
