According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 35 percent year on year to 119,820 metric tons, down 5.7 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $54.8 million, down 6.9 percent month on month and decreasing by 45.2 percent compared to the same month of 2018.
Meanwhile, in the January-November period of last year, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 1.71 million metric tons, up 7.8 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $858.8 million, decreasing by 6.4 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 369,233 metric tons. Israel was followed by the Netherlands with 153,241 metric tons and Singapore with 111,241 metric tons.
