Turkey’s unemployment rate at 9.3% in March-May

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey rose 0.3 percentage points year on year to 9.3 percent in the March-May period of the current year. Meanwhile, in the given period the employment rate in Turkey increased from 45.2 percent to 46.4 percent with a 1.2 percentage point increase compared to the same period of the previous year.
