Turkey’s steel section exports up 59 percent in February

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's  total steel section exports amounted to 195,250 metric tons, rising by 59 percent year on year and up 70.9 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $143.8 million, up by 66.7 percent compared to February 2011 and up 67.6 percent month on month.

In the first two months of 2012, Turkey's steel section exports rose 26.4 percent compared to the carresponding petriod of the last year, amounting to 309,400 mt.
