Turkey's motor vehicle output up 7.7 percent in June

According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD), in June this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 109,189 units, increasing by 7.7 percent year on year and up by 11.3 percent over the month of May.
 
In June, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 58,694 units - up 7.4 percent, its commercial vehicle production reached 50,495 units - up 8.04 percent, while tractor production amounted to 4,657 units - up 65.5 percent, all compared to June 2010.
 
Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 621,695 units, up 13.6 percent year on year: passenger car output totaled 335,783 units, while commercial vehicle production reached 285,912 units, increasing respectively by seven percent and 22 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
