Turkey's motor vehicle output up 12 percent in Jan-Oct

According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD), in October this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 107,680 units, decreasing by four percent year on year and up by 0.45 percent over the month of September.
 
In October, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 60,142 units - up four percent, its commercial vehicle production reached 43,371 units - down 15 percent, while tractor production amounted to 4,137 units - up 26 percent, all compared to October 2010.
 
Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of this year the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 1,024,958 units, up 12 percent year on year: passenger car output totaled 536,909 units, while commercial vehicle production reached 450,384 units, increasing respectively by seven percent and 15 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
