Turkey’s HRC imports decrease by 5.1 percent in January-March

In March this year, Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports amounted to 378,456 metric tons, up 9.9 percent compared to February and increasing by 61.4 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue of these imports totaled $241.42 million, increasing by 12.3 percent compared to February and up 22 percent year on year. 

Meanwhile, in January-March period of this year, Turkey's HRC imports amounted to 1.04 million mt, down 5.1 percent compared to the January-March period of last year, while the revenue of these imports totaled $656.5 million, decreasing by 30.9 percent year on year.
