Turkey’s Habaş to build new generation slab reheating furnace

French industrial engineering group Fives Group has announced that Turkey-based steelmaker Habaş ordered the design and supply of a new generation slab reheating furnace for its hot strip mill in Izmir, Turkey.

Thanks to this new furnace, Habaş will be able to make significant savings in operational performance. Furthermore, the new slab reheating furnace, which has a capacity of reheating 450 mt of slabs per hour, is environmental friendly.
