Erdemir Group, Turkey's largest and Europe's fifth largest steelmaker, achieved a net profit of TRY 653.71 million ($456 million) in the first three quarters of 2010, compared to a net loss of TRY 290.73 million in the corresponding period of 2009. Net profit of main partnership was TRY 627.7 million ($436 million).
Meanwhile, Erdemir Group recorded sales revenues of TRY 4.71 billion ($3.28 billion) in the period in question, up 30 percent year on year from TRY 3.61 billion. The company recorded an operating profit of TRY 834.74 million ($582.1 million) in the first three quarters of 2010, compared to an operating loss of TRY 153.59 million in the corresponding period of 2009.
On the other hand, Erdemir achieved a net profit of TRY 235.52 million ($164.2 million) in the third quarter of 2010, compared to a net loss of TRY 95.59 million in the corresponding period of 2009.
During the third quarter of the current year, Erdemir Group recorded sales revenues of TRY 1.51 billion ($1.05 billion), up 16 percent year on year from TRY 1.3 billion. The company recorded an operating profit of TRY 230.51 million ($160.5 million) in the third quarter of 2010, compared to an operating loss of TRY 75.3 million in the third quarter of 2009.
