In February this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 49,786 metric tons, decreasing by 20.4 percent compared to the same month of 2014 and down 13.3 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $31.4 million, decreasing by 27 percent year on year and down 16.7 percent month on month.
In the January-February period, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports decreased by 15.7 percent to 107,214 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $69.09 million, falling 21.2 percent, both year on year.
In the January-February period this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 45,660 metric tons, up 83.73 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 11,759 metric tons, down 43.46 percent compared to January-February 2014.
