Turkey's basic metals turnover down 0.3 percent in September from August

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in September this year increased by 5.8 percent year on year and by two percent month on month, following the 11.7 percent year-on-year increase recorded in August.

In September, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 10.4 percent year on year and registered a 0.3 percent fall from the previous month, after a decrease of 0.5 percent in August compared to July. In September of the current year, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, in Turkey increased by 1.4 percent year on year and by 4.1 percent from the previous month.
