Turkey starts WTO challenge against US over doubled steel duties

Ruhsar Pekcan, Turkish Minister of Commerce, has stated that Turkey has invited the United States (US) into a dispute settlement at the World Trade Organization (WTO), according to Turkish daily Dunya.

Pekcan said that they have already announced the retaliatory measures worth $533 million on 22 products from the US as a response to its doubling the additional duties on steel and aluminum products from Turkey and added that the ministry launched the WTO dispute settlement case as of August 15.
