The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that Turkey has notified the WTO Secretariat that it requests dispute consultations with Morocco regarding antidumping (AD) duties imposed by Morocco on imports of Turkish hot rolled steel. The duties entered into force on September 26, 2014.

According to the WTO, Turkey alleges the Moroccan measures are inconsistent with a number of procedural and substantive provisions of the WTO's antidumping agreement. This is the first WTO dispute case involving Morocco as a party.
