Trial run at NLMK’s new HDG line starts

Sources report that Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Iron & Steel Works (NLMK) started trial run at its new hot dip galvanizing line. The line, which is designed to have an annual production capacity of 340’000 tons, will expand NLMK’s product range. The company will be able to produce hot dip galvanized materials ranging between 1.5 mm to 4 mm. The line is expected to start commercial production early next year. The new hot dip galvanizing line will take NLMK’s annual galvanized steel production to 900’000 tons.
