German plantmaker SMS Meer has announced that it will supply a rotary hearth furnace with a capacity of up to 12 mt per hour for Turkish steelmaker Toscelik's Niksic plant in Montenegro.
The furnace will be used to heat materials like hardened steel, ball-bearing steel and stainless steel to forging temperature for further processing. With this rotary hearth furnace, the company will be able to increase its productivity.
The new rotary hearth furnace is scheduled to be commissioned in the fourth quarter this year.
