Tokyo Steel Manufacturing increases prices

Japanese steel producer Tokyo Steel Manufacturing has recently announced that it increased prices of its products for April contracts. Accordingly, prices of long products are increased by Yen 5'000 ($47) per ton, while prices of steel sheet and plates are increased by Yen 2'000 ($19) per ton. In long products, H-beam price increased to Yen 75'000 ($702), channel steel to Yen 70'000 ($656) and small steel bar to Yen 56'000 ($525). The new price levels hot rolled steel sheet, acid pickled steel coil and checkered steel plate reached to Yen 64'000 ($600), Yen 68'000 ($637) and Yen 69'000 ($646) respectively. Meanwhile, wire rod and hot galvanized steel coil prices are not changed.
