Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. Ltd (TISCO) has issued its August ex-factory prices for stainless steel products. The details are as follows:
1) CR stainless coil: the prices of the 304, 321 and 316 L series drop RMB 6,800/mt ($899/mt) from the July level. Thus, SUS304/2B 2.0 mm coil is now priced at RMB 31,600/mt ($4,180/mt), ASTM316L/2B 2.0 mm coil costs RMB 60,200/mt ($7,963/mt), and SUS321/2B 2.0 mm coil is at RMB 44,900/mt ($5,939/mt). The price of 430 series is reduced by RMB 1,000/mt ($132/mt), and so SUS430/2B 2.0 mm coil now costs RMB 12,200/mt ($1,614/mt).
2) Stainless plate: 6-14 mm plates of the 304, 321 and 316L series have seen a price drop of RMB 7,000/mt ($926/mt), while 16-80 mm plates of these series are reduced by RMB 5,000/mt ($661/mt) in price.
3) HR stainless coil: for 304,321 and 316L series, HR coils of most specifications have decreased by RMB 7,000/mt ($926/mt) except the 14 mm size, the price of which dips RMB 6,600/mt ($873/mt). Consequently, SUS 304/No.1 3.0-4.5 mm coil with mill edge is priced at RMB 32,600/mt ($4,312/mt). ASTM316L/No.1 3.0-4.5 mm coil with mill edge now costs RMB 57,300/mt ($7,579/mt). As to the 430 and 409L series, the prices are cut by RMB 1,000/mt ($132/mt); therefore the current price for SUS430/No.1 3.0-4.5 mm coil is RMB 11,700/mt ($1,548/mt).
4) Wire rods of the various 300 series see a price reduction of RMB 7,000/mt ($926/mt), while the prices for the various 400 series are only down RMB 300/mt ($40/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of August 1.
