Shanxi Province-based Taiyuan Iron and Steel Ltd (TISCO) has adjusted the ex-factory prices of its stainless steel products for February shipment. The new prices are a little higher than the previous level.
1) CR stainless coil
The prices of the 304, 321 and 316 series go up by RMB 200/mt ($28/mt). As a result, SUS 304/2B 2.0 mm coil now costs RMB 32,100/mt ($4,458/mt); SUS 321/2B 2.0 mm coil is worth RMB 44,900/mt ($6,236/mt); and ASTM 316/2B 2.0 mm coil is priced at RMB 57,400/mt ($7,972/mt). 430 series sees an increase of RMB 300/mt ($42/mt); thus SUS 430/2B 2.0 mm coil now costs RMB 13,400/mt ($1,861/mt).
2) HR stainless coil
HR coil grades have undergone the exact same price increase as the corresponding CR coil grades. Consequently, the price of SUS 304/No.1 3-12 mm coil has risen by RMB 200/mt ($28/mt) to RMB 30,100/mt ($4,181/mt); ASTM 316/No.1 3-12 mm coils increases RMB 200/mt ($28/mt) to RMB 54,500/mt ($7,569/mt); and SUS 430/No.1 3-6 mm coil moves up RMB 300/mt ($42/mt) to RMB 11,900/mt ($1,653/mt).
The prices of 304 and 315 series see an increase of RMB 200/mt ($28/mt). Therefore, the new price of SUS 304/No.1 10 mm is RMB 31,800/mt ($4,417/mt), and that of AISI 316L/mt 10 mm is RMB 56,000/mt ($7,778/mt).
The price of 304 and 316 series rises by RMB 200/mt ($28/mt).
The above prices include VAT and take effect as of February 2, 2008.
