TISCO aims to produce 5 million tons of crude steel in 2005

Indian steel producer Tata Iron and Steel Corp (TISCO) is reportedly aiming to produce 5 million tons of crude steel in 2005. Under the scope of the project, TISCO will build a sinter plant and revamp G-blast furnace. The new sinter plant will be the third sinter plant of the company. Moreover, the project covers establishment of a new rebar mill and modernization of the hot strip mill and the reheating furnaces for hot rolled coils.
