Timken Latrobe increases tool steel prices

According to the statement released by Timken Company, its subsidiary Timken Latrobe is increasing prices of tool steel and alloy products by 5% to be effective for shipments as of August 8, 2004. No change in raw material surcharge has been announced. The prices are stated to be increased due to rising costs. As reported by SteelOrbis yesterday, Timken Latrobe increased prices of special grade steel products.
