Timken Corporation hikes steel bar prices

According to the statement released by Timken Corporation, located in Canton, US, the company decided to increase steel bar prices. The prices of all grades and sizes of carbon and alloy steel bar will be increased by $30 per ton to be effective for shipments as of May 10, 2004. A company official states that the prices are increased to offset rising costs. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Timken Corporation increased all grades and sizes of steel bars again by $30 per ton in April.
