Timken closes operations after radioactive waste detected
Ohio, US based Timken Corporation reportedly will shut down certain operations after radioactive material is detected in a truck, carrying waste material from the plant. The company stated that there is no evidence that anybody in the region is exposed to the radioactive material. The company will try to dispose the material, which is expected take two or three-week's time. During this period, scrap melting operations of the company will be temporarily shut down. It is stated that, the detected radioactive material is cesium-137, which is used to make gauge and treat cancer.Timken closes operations after radioactive waste detected
