German steel giant ThyssenKrupp has announced the postponement of the publishing of its annual financial results since it is in exclusive negotiations on the possible sale of its US steel plant.

The company stated that the negotiations regarding the sale of the US steel plant in Calvert, Alabama also include a long-term slab supply contract for the Brazil-based ThyssenKrupp CSA, a solution that would secure the value of the Brazilian steel mill.

In the past one and a half years, ThyssenKrupp has been trying to find a buyer for its Steel Americas unit, comprised of the Alabama steel plant and the Brazilian mill.
