Thyssen Krupp announced Q2 fiscal results

German steel maker Tyhssen Krupp announced its sales and pre-tax profits for the second fiscal quarter despite difficult market conditions. Tyhssen Krupp's sales increased by 2% to €9.2 billion (approx.$10.7 billion) while its pre-tax profits increased from €96 million to €250 million by 160%. Tyhssen Krupp chairman Professor Dr. Ekkehard Schulz stated that the company expects to match the performances of the second half of fiscal 2001/02 despite no major recovery in the economic environment is expected in the second half this fiscal year.
