Thailand removes AD duty on HR steel products from Japan

Thailand has cancelled the antidumping duty on hot-rolled steel sheets imported from Japan upon a petition filed by Nippon Steel Corp. The products were subject to a 36.25 percent antidumping duty since 2003. Nippon Steel filed a petition to the authorities for the cancellation of the duties, claiming that its products did not cause any damage to Thai steel industry since the subject products were not sold in the local Thai market at levels below market prices.
