The local governments in the cities of Tangshan and Handan in China’s Hebei Province have decided to initiate a level II emergency response as of 18:00 on February 25 and 12:00 on February 26, respectively, aiming to alleviate pollution.
Several local steelmakers said that they plan to restrict sintering output by 30-50 percent.
