Tanggang ups October prices for flats

On September 30, Hebei Province-based Tangshan Iron & Steel Group (Tanggang) released its October ex-factory prices for flats. The details are as follows:

1. HRC prices were up RMB 70/mt ($9/mt). Thus, the ex-factory price of 2.75 mm Q235 has risen to RMB 4,380/mt ($583/mt), while the price of 5.5 mm is up to RMB 4,250/mt ($566/mt).

2. CRC prices have increased RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC is RMB 4,850/mt ($646/mt).

3. Full Hard prices increased RMB 250/mt ($33/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC is RMB 4,550/mt ($606/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of October 1, 2007.
