Taiwan’s Yieh Phui to reduce carbon emissions through EAF

Taiwanese steelmaker Yieh Corporation has announced that galvanized and prepainted steel coils producer Yieh Phui Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Yieh Phui) is investing in electric arc furnace steelmaking route to reduce carbon emissions.

The company’s engineering business supplied about 5,600 tons of electric furnace steel plates, and its coated business supplied about 3,700 tons of the product for the construction of the furnace.

In addition, Yieh Phui has already reduced carbon emissions by around 1,634 tons as of the first half of the year.
