Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 2.8 percent in September

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in September this year Taiwan's basic metal export orders decreased by 3.14 percent compared to the previous month and were down 2.88 percent compared to September 2010.

Taiwan's basic metal export orders amounted to $2.5 billion in September this year, decreasing by 5.6 percent compared to the previous month but up 3.78 percent compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, the countrys basic metal export orders in the first nine months of this year amounted to a value of $23.22 billion, up 18.11 percent compared to the same period last year.
