Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 11.8 percent in January-June

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in June this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.05 billion, down 11.8 percent compared to June 2014 and increasing by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month. In May, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 4.5 percent decrease month on month. 

In the January-June period of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 11.8 percent year on year to $11.86 billion.
