Taiwan's basic metal export orders down 8.9 percent in April

In April this year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to a value of $2.1 billion, down 8.9 percent compared to March and decreasing by 15.7 percent compared to April 2014, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The value of Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders had decreased by 16.6 percent in March this year and by 5.9 percent in February, on year-on-year basis.

In the January-April period this year, Taiwan's basic metal product export orders decreased by 10.6 percent year on year to $8.44 billion.
