Taiwan lifts import restrictions on 400 steel products

Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOF) and Ministry of Finance have recently determined to lift import restriction on 400 steel products. Taiwan BOF and the Ministry of Finance, in order to ease import and export procedures in Taiwanese steel industry have recently cancelled the policy regarding the restriction on imports of 400 steel products. The cancellation of the policy is effective as of October 19, 2004 retroactively. The cancelled policy covers carbon, stainless and special steel flat and long products. Raw materials and semis are not included in the policy.
