Sun Coke may install a coke plant at Corus site

According to recent news in the market, US based blast furnace coke producer Sun Coke Company is planning to install £110 million ($200 million) coke facility at the site of Corus Port Talbot steel works. The company is also stated to be seeking for sites in France, Germany, Italy and UK for the fourth plant to install. Evaluating the project, Corus stated that they believe that installation of coke facility by Sun Coke at Port Talbot will create job opportunities and develop economy of Wales. It is stated that Corus, the Welsh Development Agency, Neath Port Talbot Council and the Welsh Assembly Government all welcomed Sun Coke's interest in the site of Corus Port Talbot steelworks.
