Stocks of main finished steel products in China down 3.3% in late June

On June 30 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 9.24 million mt, down 320,000 mt or 3.3 percent compared to June 20, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of June 30, domestic inventory of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), and common medium plate amounted to 1.99 million mt, 1.18 million mt and 0.95 million mt, increasing by 2.1 percent, 1.7 percent and 3.3 percent, while inventory of wire rod and rebar amounted to 0.97 million mt and 4.15 million mt, decreasing by 11 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively, all compared to June 20.
