Stocks of main finished steel products in China down 0.5% in mid-July

On July 20 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 9.32 million mt, down 50,000 mt or 0.5 percent compared to July 10, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of July 20, domestic inventory of hot rolled coil (HRC) and wire rod amounted to 2.0 million mt and 0.87 million mt, down 2.3 percent and 6.5 percent, while inventory of cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate and rebar totaled 1.24 million mt, 0.97 million mt and 4.24 million mt, up 3.3 percent, 1.0 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, all compared to July 10.
