STFA developed working affiliations in N.Africa and MiddleEast
General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) held a tender for 400 kV Tripoli-Sirt-Agdabia/Sirt–Houn-GMMR-1 Overhead Transmission Line project in Libya and STFA Insaat A.S. is awarded for GMMR-1-Houn to Sirt part of the tender which is 500 km in length and signed an agreement on July 7, 2003. According to the agreement worth $101 million, the project is on turn-key basis and includes STFA's services, material supply, construction, assembly, tests and putting into operation. During the construction process, 19'305 tonnes of galvanized steel and 5.500 km of conductor is planned to be used in 1'189 pole. Furthermore STFA Temel Kaziklari Insaati A.S., owned by STFA Group, is going to conduct the “Jumeirah Beach Residence Piling Works JBR4 & JBR6” project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project, is scheduled to start on July 27, 2003 and will cost 61.911.210 UAE Dirham (USD 16.961.975). Vendor of the project is Dubai Technology, Electronic Commerce & Media Free Zone Authority. Under the scope of this project, in total 86'390 metre of screw pile in 20-40m length with dia. ranging between 900-1200 mm will be produced. Project is expected to be completed in 7 months.
