Steel mills of the EU prepare to file new anti-dumping case for HRC

Following the EU Council's refusal of an anti-dumping duty proposal in March 2003, mainly targeting the countries of Turkey, Slovakia, South Africa and Egypt, a new request possibly covering the imports from the US, by the EU steel producers to be filed with the same purpose is currently being pronounced in the industry. The complaints of the EU steel mils has not been filed yet, however it appears that it would rather be referring to a threat of injury than an actual injury experienced in the industry. Depending on the level of imports of the specified material, the date of the filing will be determined.
